Google News – Just another article announcer?

 In Google's latest battle to become an international news hub, I realized that Google News results are nothing more than the articles we publish every day. So I ask, doesn't Google News look like an article directory of some kind? I only mention this because when I submit my articles for online marketing, I often wonder if they will appear in Google News. 9 times out of 10 they do! In fact, they usually appear within 48 hours of being indexed from other related websites. How does Google News choose its content? Currently, it appears that "news hubs" and "press release companies" related to your industry on the Internet are benefiting from these search results. When you think about it, wouldn't a press release be a form of news anyway? Maybe… If you take a closer look at the websites that offer content on Google News, you'll notice that only a few offer all the results.
